What does the word 'farm' make you think of?
Animals like cows, sheep chickens and sheep.
Fields of vegetables and grain.
Is any harmful stuff made at farms?
Yes. A lot of unsafe matter is also produced by farms.
What sort of matter?
Animal feed and waste.
Machine waste.
How does this cause harm to us and other animals and plants?
The animal waste is washed into rivers streams and lakes when it rains. The plants and animals living in the water can die.
The machines that the farmers use can give out unclean gases that make the air dirty.
What can you do to help?
If you live near a stream, river or lake, ask your parents if any stuff they have used from farms for your plants can be washed into the water.

If you look out for the ways in which the water and the air are being made unclean, and tell your parents or an older person, you can help make it a lot cleaner!
